After nearly two weeks of watching and cheering on our favorite Olympians, the 2024 Paris Olympics are coming to an end.

The Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony is set for this weekend, concluding with another parade of athletes and performances from the upcoming host country.

Team USA had nearly 600 Olympians on its team across 32 games, including 340 American athletes making their Olympic debut and 252 returning to the games. Some of the top moments from Team USA include Simone Biles becoming the most decorated gymnast in history, Katie Ledecky becoming the most decorated U.S. female Olympian and Floridian Noah Lyles winning two medals for track and field.

As the world savors the final moments of the summer games, here's when the closing ceremony will happen and how to watch, even if you don't have cable.

When is the 2024 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony in Eastern Time?

The Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will happen on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 3 p.m. EST. The Closing Ceremony will take place at France's national stadium, the Stade de France, which has been converted to a concert hall for the ceremony.

What happens during the Olympics Closing Ceremony?

Similarly to an Olympic Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will have a parade of the participating athletes and the singing of the host country's national anthem.

According to NBC, the Closing Ceremony will also feature the lowering of the Olympic flag, the extinguishing of the Olympic flame, and victory celebrations for the medalists. Lastly, a portion of the ceremony will be dedicated to the host city handover from Paris to Los Angeles.

Who is hosting the 2028 Summer Olympics?

The 2028 Summer Games will be held in Los Angeles, with its website adding the California city will host 50-plus Olympic and Paralympic sports and more than 800 events in 80 existing venues. They'll run from Friday, July 14, 2028 through Sunday, July 30, 2028.

"LA28 will mark the first time in Games history that no new permanent venues will be built to host the Games, utilizing existing world-class stadiums and venues across the Los Angeles region," the LA28 website states.

This will be the city's third time hosting the modern Olympics Games, hosting in 1932 and 1984.
