Vote: Who is the top running back in Polk County entering 2024 high school football season

There were five 1,000-yard rushers in Polk County high school football in 2023, and four were among last year's seniors who have graduated, along with The Ledger's small schools offensive player of the year. In fact, nine of the top 10 running backs from last year have not returned for 2024.
Still, there is plenty of talent remaining, including the lone returning 1,000-yard rusher in Josh Bellamy, a senior at Lakeland Christian. In addition, there are talented returning running backs who will have bigger roles this season after being backups last year or missing time because of injuries. There are also new players on the scene who are new to Polk County or have moved up from JV.
So who do you think is the top running back for the 2024 season? Let's hear from you. Vote now and make your selection as to who you think the top running back is and be sure to read all of our preseason coverage leading up to the start of the season.
Voting for the best running back will remain open until noon on Friday.
