Grant's golden moment: Gator alum Holloway wins elusive gold medal at Paris Olympics
After a silver medal in Tokyo, Grant Holloway waited three years for redemption. Thursday afternoon in Paris, the Gators alum finally got it in the 110m hurdles.

Grant Holloway spent three long years pondering how he blew the perfect opportunity.
By the Tokyo Olympics held in 2021, Holloway was already a world champion and multiple-time national champion.
But, the Gator alum admitted he lost his composure and settled for silver in the 110-meter hurdles final.
On Thursday evening, with 70,000 cheering him on in the Stade de France in Paris, Grant found his redemption.
Holloway won gold in his signature event in 12.99 seconds at the Paris Olympics.
Holloway got off to a fast start and never let up. He fended off a challenge from Team USA's Daniel Roberts and Jamaica's Rasheed Broadbell to win gold for the "Flamingo."
He's the sixth Florida alum to win gold in athletics, joining Christian Taylor, Frank Shorter, Dennis Mitchell, Bernard Williams and Kerron Clement.
He, Shorter and Clement are the only to win in individual track events.
UF now has 12 medals in the Paris Games and four golds (Caeleb Dressel with two and Bobby Finke with one).
Jasmine Moore won her second medal of the games Thursday with a bronze in the long jump, adding to her bronze in the triple jump on Saturday.
