Cardinal Newman 3-star Max Redmon "stuck" before committing to Florida State

Cardinal Newman three-star safety Max Redmon is all set to be a Florida State Seminole.
Hundreds joined a YouTube livestream on Tuesday afternoon, eager to hear the rising senior recruit's college decision. There in Newman's gymnasium, where he also dominates the hardwood for the Crusaders' basketball team, Redmon sat in front of a webcam surrounded by friends and family.
Whether watching in person or virtually, Redmon fans had to wait a little bit longer when he got "stuck" in his Newman hoodie before announcing his commitment to Mike Norvell and company.

June recruiting roundup:Which Palm Beach County prospects committed, took official visits
First, Redmon revealed an Illinois pullover, fooling everyone into thinking that he would join Newman teammate Xanai Scott, who is committed to play with his brother, Xavier, and the Fighting Illini in the future.
He stripped down again into a white t-shirt before receiving a "special delivery" that just so happened to be an FSU jersey in "Seminole Heritage" turquoise.
Redmon picks the Seminoles over Illinois, USF
With his pick of the Noles, Florida State's roster receives a 6-foot-2, 190 pound to its 2025 recruiting class, which ranks 27th in the country per 247Sports.
"They've been on me since day one, since they saw me at the FAU camp," Redmon said in the stream, referring to a trip down to Florida Atlantic back in June of 2023.
The next month, Redmon attended a prospect camp at FSU and took his first unofficial visit in Tallahassee that November. This June, FSU won his first official visit ahead of other top choices in Illinois and South Florida.
Although he knew where he was taking his talents, Redmon still commended Illinois for its "great production of DBs" and USF for the promising program being built under Alex Golesh.
Alas, Redmon had his eyes on the Tribe from the first time he set foot in Doak Campbell Stadium for a game.
Palm Beach County proves recruiting hot spot for FSU once again
Palm Beach County has been quite the hot spot for FSU recruiting as of late. The Noles have recently brought on talents like former Atlantic linebacker Jayden Parrish, Lou Groza Kicker of the Year Jake Weinberg from American Heritage-Delray and another Newman favorite in Ricky Knight III.
With the production and presence he brings on the field, Redmon was a shoe-in to join that class of no-brainer additions.
For Newman, he's shined on both sides of the ball. However, Redmon is best known for his back-to-back 60-plus tackle seasons on defense.
A big reason why he's ranked 87th out of all safeties nationwide − and why he'll be a huge asset to the Noles in rebuild.
