Jupiter football hires Jason Kradman as next head coach

Jason Kradman is returning to South Florida to lead the Jupiter Warriors football program. 

Jupiter High School announceKradman as its next head football coach on Friday afternoon via the school athletic department's official Twitter account. 

Kradman most recently was head coach at Lake Park High School in Roselle, Ill., a Chicago suburb. The Lancers finished 1-13 in two seasons. 

He had much better success in his first high school job, compiling a 14-7 record in two seasons as head coach at Miami Beach. The Hi-Tides' back-to-back seven-win seasons in 2012 and 2013 under Kradman were the program's best over the past decade.

Kradman takes over for Tim Tharp, who announced his retirement this offseason after a long coaching career in South Florida.

Tharp went 21-25 in five seasons at Jupiter, helping the Warriors recover from back-to-back losing seasons in 2015 and 2016. 

Potential returning playmakers include rising senior Emonte Brown, who starred for the Warriors last season at running back. 

Oxbridge picks familiar name 

Jonathan Stellman is set to lead the revival of the Oxbridge Academy football program. 

The school announced Stellman's hiring as head coach via social media on Friday afternoon. 

Oxbridge enjoyed a six-year stretch upon the program's founding in 2012, finishing 49-11 with a Class 3A state runner-up finish in 2017.

The ThunderWolves shuttered their program in 2018. In September, the school announced its intention to field a football program again in 2022. 

Stellman served as defensive coordinator for the ThunderWolves in 2016 under head coach Brendan Kent.
