Miami Dolphins training camp practice report: Plenty of run for Jaylen Wright

MIAMI GARDENS - The Miami Dolphins practiced on Wednesday at Baptist Health, training camp practice number 15 of the summer.
Miami will welcome the Washington Commanders for a joint practice on Thursday.

Miami Dolphins training camp practice updates
- Before practice, the Dolphins added defensive tackle Robert Cooper of Florida State. He replaced Teair Tart, who was cut. Mike McDaniel said Tart was not a scheme fit. Cooper is wearing #94.
- Julian Hill is wearing the orange jersey as player of the last Miami Dolphins practice. The strong blocking tight end comes out strong with 50 Cent's Many Men on the play list.
- Safety Jordan Poyer (thumb) was seen training on the side.
- Jalen Ramsey and Jaylen Waddle were running on their own before practice.
- Byron Matos fired up the crowd by climbing into the stands and high-fiving fans.

- Not spotted participating early in practice: Jeff Wilson, Salvon Ahmed, Raheem Mostert, Tyreek Hill, Anthony Schwartz, Jonnu Smith, Tanner Conner, Jody Fortson, Aaron Brewer, Terron Armstead.
- Not spotted participating early in practice: Calais Campbell, Brandon Pili, Anthony Walker, David Long, Ethan Bonner, Kendall Fuller.
- Old friends Emmanuel Ogbah and Jaelan Phillips have resumed acquaintance, helping each other work on pass rush moves early in practice.
- Jaylen Wright continues to demonstrate burst and explosiveness in practice.
- Jaylen Wright fumbled and Jason Maitre recovered.
- Tua Tagovailoa connected with De'Von Achane in the flat.
- Tua connected with Julian Hill on a short pass.
- Cam Smith had effective coverage on De'Von Achane.
- The Dolphins moved indoors late in practice. It was heavy doses of Jaylen Wright. It seems they want him to have a wide grasp of plays.
- Safety Isaiah Johnson had a few nice coverage plays.
- Rookie Malik Washington had a drop on a dart over the middle from Tua. Later, Washington had another drop on a more difficult play.
- Jaelan Phillips rushed the quarterback in 11-on-11. He looks really good.
- Zach Sieler is still a terror to slow down.
- Mike Harley dropped a pass over the middle from Mike White.
When are Dolphins open practices?
The final future practices open to the public is likely Thursday, Aug. 15. Miami will have a joint practice at Tampa next Wednesday, Aug. 21.
