On August 3, 2024, at the age of 73, God called Dottie home. A loving mother and devoted wife, Dottie called Polk County home for nearly 70 years.

Born April 4th, 1951 in Greenville, AL to the late Gus and Dorothy (Capps) Murphy, Dottie’s family moved to Haines City, FL when she was young. She graduated from Haines City High School in 1969 and soon after met the love of her life, Thomas (Tom) Ereditario on a blind date. They fell in love and married in 1976. They lived in Winter Haven, FL where they raised their two children, T.J. and Ashley.

A doting mother, Dottie could always be found at her children’s sporting events no matter where they were and she was usually the loudest supporter. She loved the beach and searching for the perfect seashells and was a passionate sports fan, especially for her Auburn Tigers.

Dottie worked in the Polk County School System for nearly 30 years where she used her friendly personality and “gift of gab” to brighten every day. Those who were lucky enough to know Dottie knew they had a true friend who would be there for them anytime and anywhere. She will be missed!

She is preceded in death by the light of her life, her Husband Tom, and her brother Drew Murphy. She is survived by son Thomas (Sabrina), daughter Ashley Edwards, brother Ron Murphy (Jeanie), Sister-in-Law Karen Murphy (Drew), her 3 grandchildren Samantha, T.J., and Mya, as well as 8 nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8th from 2-3pm with Funeral Services to start at 3pm. All services will be held at Oak Ridge Funeral Care 2425 Havendale Blvd. NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
